So the other day the missus and I were watching a bit of TV and she commented on how she liked the look of the LG Chocolate range of phones. I said something to the effect of "yeah, it's a shame they don't move into the WM scene". Lo and behold, what turns up on the interweb not long after said conversation but this, LG's KC1 WM powered PPC phone! :)

What's EVDO? - OK just found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EVDO

A PPC with a normal phone keyboard? looks good. Is it 3G? HSDPA?

Does this mean it won't be released in the UK?

It won't be available here unless LG produce a GSM version of it. The version shown here is CDMA, a different standard to the GSM we use here. And unfortunately CDMA is not interoperable with GSM.

EVDO (along with W-CDMA) is the CDMA equivilent of UMTS (ie 3G)
