Oz IM on Dash uses wifi or SMS only?

I've heard conflicting responses as to whether the Oz IM only uses SMS for it's text messeging services, or if it will traverse a WiFi connection if one is present. Does any one know for certain? Also does the Agile messenger use an SMS gateway? I thought it did...so far the only one I'm fairly certain uses WiFi is IM+, and the built in MSN Messenger apparently will also use it?
