Guest akuma3d Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 (edited) I just got a new Dash. Yay! for me... and you I assume. Okay. has anyone found out (or wanted to) turn off the prediction strip at the bottom of screen when typing something. I have to always press the spaceba- button twice. Once to accept the word, and another for a space. But only sometimes. It's got a a full keyboard. I just want to type..... or maybe i just curse to much for XT9. <------- now it's the Dash! You might have to do this in a few places (email field, IE address bar, IR form etc) but once you switch it off in all those places it stays off. hth gr

I've tried everything. Holding #, alt...ect This makes it perfect!
Guest chaznet Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I wish it would stay off once you've done that, but it doesn't. While your using whatever you've shut it off in, it'll stay off, and maybe the next time you use the same program it will remain off -- but eventually it creeps back, always after a reboot and often without. With luck, a future ROM update will allow you to just shut it off. You might have to do this in a few places (email field, IE address bar, IR form etc) but once you switch it off in all those places it stays off. hth gr
