MDA Compact III battery life

Hi, Ive now had my compact iii for about 3 weeks and am find the battery life to be not very good. I probably make and receive phone calls for about 1.5 to 2 hours a day. I use the pda functions for about the same period each day, mainy reading ebooks using microsoft reader. With this usage the battery will be down to about 20% after 48 hours. Is that a normal amount, what sort of battery life do others get.

I've got tom-tom installed, and as expected when I used that the charge went down very quickly.

Thanks

Hi,

That sounds about right.

Most Pocket PCs will last a day or two with moderate use, but not much longer.

I sync and charge mine on daily basis so it isn't a problem for me.

Seems about right to me as well.

I carry around the mini USB cable (lighter than the mains charger) and connect to the USB of any PC I have access to. This keeps the Compact charged up for when I'm out and about.

You can also get cheap mini USB car chargers on Ebay for around £4.

Compared with some of the older Smartphones and Pocket PC's your 48 hours battery life is very good!

If you travel to work by car, get a cheap car charger, and charge it when you travel.

If not get a docking station and put it in that when you get home/goto bed.
