Guest dr_nick Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 (edited) managed to tweak the registry on my old m600 to enable the GPS control panel (allowing multiple progs to acces info from GPS device simultaneously), probably using a .cab. but since my new m600 arrived, i have not been able to work out how to di it for love nor money. (quite why orange insist on fiddling with the rom so much i don't know. i mean i can understand their desire for the device to say "orange" when you turn it on and have a network-dependent home screen, but why remove/disable useful programs/funtions?! grr) please can someone point me to the right place? ta! dr_nick Edited December 12, 2006 by dr_nick
Guest bushlaw Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings Add a DWORD called "Group" and give it the value of "2" (dec) keep the Hide key but change the value to 0 and delete the redirect value and soft reset If you have a GPS device, you can add a GPS settings icon to your Start > Settings menu using: HKLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Group = 2 (DWORD decimal) HKLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\redirect :)
Guest dr_nick Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 awesome! thanks i do indeed owe you a pint :)
