Guest Tech Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 (edited) wierd wierd company, well, first experience. Basically I placed an order about 2 weeks ago for a Qtek 8500 (Imate smartflip) on the O2 contract. They said they couldnt process it due to the fact that I was already on an O2 contract and the number I wanted to transfer (which I had a PAC code ready for) wasn't doable because then they don't get anything out of it....ok. So I purchased a PAYG sim card, transferred my number onto it and now transferring it to the order today. The thing I don't get is why on earth do they ask for proof of signature/address/passport details etc.... ? Sure I understand taking a bill or a bank statement but why the rest? Anyway, the site states that any orders placed before 4pm will be delivered the next day guarenteed. I placed mine at 2:30 ish (pm) today but that didn't get processed because of O2's systems going slow and because they also wanted other forms of ID from me, like scanning in a credit card both front and back :-/ I did that, sent it just before 4 and still nothing progressed. I still have to pay next day delivery. Makes no sense, they shouldnt state that it will be guarenteed next day if ordered before 4pm if they can't do it. I understand the whole O2 thing but surely they can still ship the phone and let the hours go buy whilst in transit the number will be transferred over or something. I should at least in this case get my delivery money refunded back but doubt that will happen wierd. Edited December 14, 2006 by Tech
Guest mandt Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Yeah I've had a bad experience with them too I initially placed an order with them for my Vario, after phoning them to make sure that they definitely had one in stiock, and that I would get it the next day. After waiting a week and a half, and getting a few vague responses from them concerning the whereabouts of my phone I cancelled, thing is it's like they were expecting it, no arguments from them whatsoever just 'Ok sir here's your money back' Very unproffesional for such a large company, and one I won't deal with again
Guest toon9 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Can't say the same of my recent (And first) experience with expansys. I ordered my new ipaq 6915 c/w tomtom on Monday. All delivered on Tuesday morning. I'll definately use them again.
Guest Tech Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 still no delivery today. They said yesterday "yes itll all be processed today"...phoned up today "no, nothing happened yet, just waiting for the network provider to get back to us". why state next day delivery before 4pm when its a total lie?

Guest J273 Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Ive used them loads of times before......I highly recommend them This is only SIM-FREE handsets though.
Guest Tech Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 (edited) i cant buy a sim free version as I dont have the money but also would like a contract too! As well as this they threw in a good few accessories including a 1GB micro SD anyway today it finally shipped. She was really great and took care of it, instead of the Royal Mail SD I chose, she made a switch to DHL and has been shipped tonight. Shes great.... Edited December 15, 2006 by Tech
