Can someone help with setting up wifi on the device. There are a number of tabs in the settings and I am unsure how to proceed, will the device automatically detect the settings or do I need to enter some data?

The device will automatically detect and apply the settings showing whether it is a Network or device to device connection. The icons will show you the status of the connection. The settings you may like to alter are how long your device stays searching etc. as WiFi eats your battery. If you want to set up a Home WiFi Network you will have to set up a security code in your VPN area. If you have a good WiFi hotspot signal your device will always chose this first over GPRS.
