Guest Wilf Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 hi i've managed to mess up my registry on my orange spv m3100 i got a really wierd error message this p.m when running active sync saying 'critical error......' Seemed to be nothing serious but i thought i was having the Vodafone problem of not being to select the Options under Settings/Today/ Items Calender. So i stupidly followed the posts on this site which guide through changing the registry settings to unlock the 'options' keys. even more stupidly i didn't back up the resgistry and my phone now seems to have lost a tiny bit of it's Orange identity. i did a hard reset and it now refuses to allow me to customise the home page. i;ve lost the screen where you can select Windows Simple or Windows Classic for the menus etc.!!! Also when i put it back on activesync to get the data, it recongised the phone as 'WM_name' rather than 'SPV_M3100... as it should do. hence why i think its lost a bit of it's orange ness and thinks it partially unlocked anyone got any ideas!!! the onyl reg changes i made were in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Calendar"] does anyone know whet the settings in this directory should be for an orange spv m3100

Guest Wilf Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 thanks for the settings - they don't work on mine though - i know one of them was orginally 34!! i think this is a very odd one problem - i seem to have lost all the setting for the home screen - i only have the option of 3 themes. Can i ask a favour - i can;t remembr where you set up for Windows Basic, or Windows Classic etc. (for the layout of the hjome screen rather tha nthe stupid orange layout) can you let me know which menu this used to be in as my lot have disappeared!!! cheers

Are "Windows Classic" and "Windows Basic" just themes?
