SPV M3100 can't recieve email

Hi. I have set up an Orange webmail email address and wish to access this in Outlook on my Orange SPV M3100 phone. I have successfully set this up in Outlook 2003 on my PC, which sends and receives. However, using similar protocols on my SPV I am able to send email, but when I tap send/receive I have an empty inbox – when I know from my PC that I do have messages. When I am sent an email I am alerted by SMS that an email has been received, but this does not appear in the Outlook inbox. Any ideas? Many thanks…

Hi,

I have a orange.net email address, to receive E-mails on your phone you will have to manually set up your e-mail account by pressing the 'envelope' button on the top of the phone , then tap, Menu, Tools, New Account... and filling in the details. You will then get a "orange.net" account along side Text Messages, MMS, Outlook E-mail etc. Then when you get an E-mail SMS alert on your phone , go to the orange.net account tap Menu then Send/Receive and you will get the E-mail. You will only get E-mails in the "Outlook E-mail" when you sync your E-mails in Outlook on your PC.
