Guest Nickey Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I have a Qtek 8500 and a memory card Kingston 1 GB. After using my smartphone for a while I have to reset it (turn off and on) to access the storage card again because I find my folders named with strange characters like chinese or something or the folders are empty. Did somebody have a solution for this? Thank you.
Guest Nickey Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I formated de storage card and I will tell you if the problem persists.

You should check with the manual or manufacter. I don't think that is the same problem. Copy everything from your card to your computer, format and then copy everything back. You will loose only 15 minutes of your time, that's all. Give it a try.
Guest Nickey Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 (edited) Formating didn't help. The same problem today. Edited December 20, 2006 by Nickey

I tried that and its a no-go. My 2125 supports 2G just doesn't see it anymore.
Guest Nickey Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Ok, I have the solution. With WMstorage installed and activated, I reformated as a FAT16 instead of FAT32, which was by default and now it works. So quick steps: -install WMstorage -activate it -copy everything from the card to hard disk -format full to FAT16 it will take about 15 minutes with 1 GB -copy everything back to the card -deactivate WMstorage Now it should work and I haven't seen a lower transfer. Can anybody else confirm that?
