Work proxy problems

Sorry if this is a stupid question. So I sync my device with my work PC, when I'm connected via USB I can no longer download my personal emails or use pocket internet explorer. My assumption is that this is because my work use a proxy server and when I'm connected to active sync the device try's to retrieve data through the PC's internet connection.

Let me know if I've got the right understanding?

So I have the details of my works proxy but I'm not sure where and how I enter them in the device. In Settings connections I've got "Orange World" and "My Work Network". I presume I need to add them to "My Work Network" but when I entered the proxy details it didn't work.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

went through the same drama, in settings ->connections you also need to go into Network Cards and select 'my network card connects to' and select work. On mine its still a bit hit and miss, sometimes IE won't work sometime emails wont download

Thanks for the tip but still not working. I'll keep playing around with the settings.

you can also try changing AS on the desktop, under connection setting you have, 'this computer is connected to' select work there and see what happens
