Guest Mark W Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Hello all. I have an SPV m3100 which has worked very well for six months. About 4 weeks ago it decided to stop sync-ing with MS Outlook. This may have co-incided with an automatic upgrade of Active Sync to v.4.2 which I believe changes the way the device connects to a desktop PC (?network rather than USB?). The device still connects and can be explored but the sync to MS Outlook now fails. MS themselves haven't been all that helpful. Some web searching suggested reinstall of Outlook on the desktop PC which I've done but to no effect. It may be that this is an old problem already solved by people with bigger brains than mine ...apologies if repating an old thread. Any suggestions? Oh, and Merry Christmas! Mark

Mark Click on Start, Settings, Connections Tab, USB to PC and uncheck this. This will halt the TCP/IP connection and revert it back to a standrad USB connection.
Guest Mark W Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Sadly this did not correct the problem. Failing to connect to MS Outlook at the start of the sync process. MW

MW Out of interest, what happens if you revert back to 4.1? Does it solve the problem? I would always suggest using the latest released version, so going backwards shouldn't really be necessary... Alternatively you could give 4.5BETA a bash!
