Guest bigscott06 Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 My phone is low on memory and it's because I have 2500 text messages in my sent folder. Is there a way to delete them all at once? The only way to do it now that I know of is to delete them one by one.
Guest Motorola veteran user Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 (edited) With Awarner's help I solved the problem. Even if you delete the messages, "cemail.vol" file and MAPI folder grow bigger and bigger. You'll need Active Sync or File Manager to delete files. The discussion is here on this forum: http://www.modaco.com/flash-storage-t236522.html As I receive a lot of messages, once a year I have to repeat the procedure, but that's because of really large quantities of mail and SMS I receive and send. Guest dodding nonkey Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 There is a freeware program, Smartphone Studio, which allows you to manage your messages and contacts from your PC. Its available from http://smartdev.51.net/ and does away with the need to mess with the IPSM files
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 That link is a Chinese site and clicking on the English tab takes you to Jeyo products which are not freeware applications.
Guest dodding nonkey Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I've just ahd a look and you're quite right (as ever), that was the web site I downloaded it from, and it certainly was freeware, my version says so in the help about tab. Perhaps the developer has moved on to greater and better things? Shame 'cos its a very usefull application.
