This is exactly what i am looking for. Does any one know of a programme or a clever work around to allow editing of Office documents?

I don't think there's anything that will let you edit Office docs but you can view them, albeit not particularly cheaply, using Repligo or ClearVue software...

Ptab is a really neat piece of software for editing excel files but so far there is nothing for word documents. (Although surely a word document editor would be simpler to make)?? This is the biggest gap in the smartphone software market...there are a few .txt editors but no .doc editors or even an .rtf editor...any developers looking for a killer app idea this is it - someone really needs to create a smartphone document editor with formatting etc, we are crying out for it!

You can view just text by copying text from word format to Notepad (.txt). Internet Explorer on the SPV C550 reads that clearly, but you cannot edit it. If you want to see a Publisher document, copy it to Adobe Photoshop and Save it as a JPEG file.

Those are only cheap options!
