Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Opera, developers of the excellent Opera Mobile for Windows Smartphones and Pocket PC, have today completed an agreement to include Opera on future Samsung handsets. The agreement, which is detailed here, is thin on detail at this stage, and states simply:Opera Software today announced Samsung Electronics has signed an agreement with Opera Software to deliver Opera Mobile on Samsung mobile handsets. What we can determine from this is that the agreement refers to a native version of Opera (as opposed to the Java based 'Opera Mini'), but we can't be absolutely certain the agreement refers to Windows Mobile devices and not Symbian devices. So... we've asked opera, and we'll let you know what they say! :) Pvia MSMobiles
Guest m@... Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Dont suppose this has anything to do with Vodafone? Didn't they just sign a deal with Samsung (& Microsoft) around WM handsets... http://www.vodafone.com/article_with_thumb...D291534,00.html Also, the v1210 from Vodafone has the Opera Broswer according to the FCC. http://www.coolsmartphone.com/news2753.html
