Exchange over HTTPS

Hi guys I've trying to connect to my corporate exchange server, they have it configured through HTTPS, my company website is https://owa.companyname.com, but when I put that into the active sync it doesn't conect, I put the domain name, and I've tested it out on the internet and everything works, I dont know if IM missing something, I've been reading about the certificates, and as far as I know they are not using any, I did notice on the outlook config in my office computer there is a msstd:owa.mycompany.com proxy ??? but its weird because it works just fine over the internet explorer ?? any suggestions ???

The address you are entering is for Outlook Web Access, not for ActiveSync. There will be a seperate URL to allow access for ActiveSync/Push Mail connections.

Try mobile.companyname.com or mobile.exchange.companyname.com

Also, this is dependant on them having installed the relevant service packs and enabling the service.
