Orange Question - Selection issues

I am attempting to make two rows both with similar behavior.

Row 1 - SMS plugin and Missed calls plugin

Row2 - Profile plugin and HIAlarm Plugin

Now after a ton of fiddling I got everything to show up in the right spots, only I can't seem to find any info on getting them all to work

Right now a row looks like this

Text-0 VMail-0 Email-0 Missed Calls-0

And looks fine. However, I cannot scroll between the SMS portion of the row and the missed calls. To put another way, depending on the order in which I put them, only one of the two plugins in a given row is selectable at a given time. The other acts as a static field.

I'm still not entirely sure what CHILD/FOCUS does

Is there a tag or work around I'm missing here?
