Gradients Forced upon me - main bar

I see a bunch of homescreens with single color bars, both the top bar, and the bottom bar that contains the Start | Contacts soft key menus. However, no matter what I set my color scheme too it alsways has a gradient - blend to white, thus ruining the effect. Is there any way to remove this gradient.

I'd also like to remove the white gradient what covers 1/2 pixels directly above the Start | Contacts area.

Which phone are you using (which operating system)?

T-Mobile SDA. Runs WM5.

Semms like there is aregistry setting somewhere for this, I just can't find it.

Yes I realize being that I started that thread. Just further proves that there isn't a work around for this problem at the moment.
