Pass-through internet on C500

Hi all,

I've followed the useful guide in this thread : http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...&st=20&

but like the user below the guide, I get no Pass Through option in my ActiveSync Windows software.

I have tried both Automatic and Pass-Through as the Internet Data connection setting in my C500.

I have ActiveSync 4.5.0 and Windows 2000 Pro.

Can anyone help get me a pass through connection please?

just yesterday i figured out why it was doing this. funny thing was that when i figured out, i was gonna post a topic notifying people why this happens but i never did.

i realized it was version 4.5 that doesnt let u use internet via usb. so just go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/act...tivesync42.mspx

and get version 4.2 and internet via usb works.

Hi,

I still can't get pass through internet to work via usb on my C500, even with Activesync 4.2.

I've tried different Data Connection settings on the phone too e.g. "Pass through connection" and "Automatic" but to no avail.

It is worth noting that there is no option for pass through on the Activesync options screen.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

I'm trying to get this to work on my phone. I'd like to be able to get online with bluetooth and usb. I don't even have a settings > data connection menu on my phone, though. Also, I am using Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista).

Getting online with BT may not be possible, I am having issues connecting with BT between Vista and the C500.

I have managed to connect using the USB though and can get online and browse without a problem.

hi awarner, is there any advice at all you could offer me for my situation of not being able to use Pass Through with just Win 2K Pro as the platform?
