HELP! - soft key number navigation lost

Help all, :D

I have a SPV C600, suddenly today all my menu number short cut has disappeared….

Ok for those that don’t understand my technical description above, when you press the soft key and the list of options that appears use to have a corresponding number which I could use the keypad to navigate my way through! But its all gone now!!!

Any ideas!

Before suggesting a hard reset, have you tried a soft reset?

Also is the button actually working at all? and is there any applications you have installed or uninstalled recently?

If you can use a registry editor, go to http://www.gadgetapps.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142

You'll need to register before you can download the instructions but swapping the values should reset your listings... (The 'default value' mentioned there is 1 btw)

There are many other tweaks on there that may be useful too...

soft rest = turning phone off pulling battery out, and then starting up. yest ried that! many times over.

I thought i might have unisntalled someting, but checked nothing missing. Not installed anything in ages!

What would i lose on hard rest?

wat reset is it when u hold down the 2 softkeys and do somethin else... i forgot wat. anyone kno wat im talkin about?

all my options are working, its just I need to use the joystick to get to them, which is very annoying considering I am use to the number navigation..... :)

help .. will try the registery suggestion :D

Couldn’t register to the website, so no luck and no navigation via the key pad.

Can any one help? I am fed up having to use that joystick to manover my way around the SPV!

I had the same issue. Have you paired it with any bluetooth input devices recently? This will override the normal input shortcuts (annoying), but is easily solved by deselecting it in the relevant BT device service options or simply removing the pairing altogether.
