Orange spv m3100

Hi everyone,

I have just (only 2 days ago) bought myself a m3100 and i'm sure that when i opened the devise up the keyboard backlight came on automatically without having to touch a single button.

But now its not working, even though the check box is checked for it to work it will only illuminate if i press any one of the keys.

Could someone please confirm ASAP weather it is or isn't supposed to light up once you slide it open.

As i may have to contact orange for a replacement device

The check box is to decide whether it lights up in the dark or not. Put your finger over the light sensor on top right corner and then press a key?

I have made sure the check box is ticked and then opened the devise, keyboard didn't illuminate and if you was referring to the round thing to the right of the contacts tab on the keyboard, i placed a finger over that then pressed a key at random and still didn't light the keyboard up

Does this mean its faulty??

Sorry to double post but not to waste any more time i called orange they ran through some checks and have diagnosed it as being faulty.

Just tried ringing one stop phone shop who i got it from but are closed at week ends (bugger)
