SMS alerts

Hi all,

It appears on my Orange M3100 that the only way to have an audible alert when receiving an SMS is to have all program alerts on, which is irritating...

Are there are any simple ways of working round this? I've looked at a couple of things like Phonealarm, but to be honest they look like overkill - I really just want a beep or something when I receive an SMS.
