Remove basic software

I was wondering how I can remove things that came on my cingular 2152 such as pocket msn and good link.. they are not under any add/remove and can not seem to find options anywhere.

I assume that they are part of the phone's ROM so will be rewritten each time you reboot the phone.

Even if you manage to remove the .exe etc this will only be a temporary measure.

Is there a way to edit the ROM or any option that I have?
