Guest The Doctor Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 (edited) Whilst browsing the interweb late at night, mini_man came across a handy piece of software at www.XDA-Developers.com. It is a fix for the crappy (understatement) A2DP on Windows Mobile devices and has virtually eliminated skipping/dropouts on my MDA Vario II with the latest HTC ROM. This fix also works for the unofficial A2DP that can be installed on AKU2 ROMs such as the Tornado, Wizard etc. I've been told its ROM dependant so install the attached CAB and post your results here along with the ROM you are using :) Phil [EDIT: All credit to Sleuth255 over at XDA-Devs for this :D)A2DPFix.CAB Edited December 24, 2006 by The Doctor
Guest adjonline Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Works on my Vario II with Sonorix headset. Great deal of gratitude due to the author!

Guest Dr Who Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 What is this .cab file? Does it just add the registry tweaks or is it something more fundamental?
Guest The Doctor Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 What is this .cab file? Does it just add the registry tweaks or is it something more fundamental? I believe its a process that runs in the background of your phone and adjusts the CPU time dedicated to A2DP combined with a few reg tweaks. More info HERE Phil
Guest AndrewH13 Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I've been told its ROM dependant so install the attached CAB and post your results here along with the ROM you are using :) Phil Anyone used this on standard T-Mobile Vario II rom?
Guest whoster69 Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 (edited) I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something about your avatar that I really feel drawn to Phil. Something familiar about it. :D :) Edited January 4, 2007 by whoster69
Guest Dr Who Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Ah yes, I saw the nascent rumblings over on XDA about that task manager fixing the skipping problems but didn't follow the thread. For all you hardcore junkies they are actually approaching a way of putting the Widcomm BT stack on the Hermes which also cures the skipping problems.
