Upgrade from Universal

I've had my Universal (o2 xda exec) for almost a year now, and i'm due an upgrade... One thing i love about the universal is the screen res and clarity...

Is there a newer device with the same 640x480 screen?

Other thing's i'd like to see are GPS, 2MP+ camera, optical zoom and a bit more RAM.

Am i asking too much?

What have other Universal users upgraded too?

There's certainly nothing that improves upon the Universal yet, but the HTC Athena will be out next year (not sure when) which keeps the VGA display, but adds a 10gb drive, GPS, and is roughly the same size, but without the keyboard attached. If you have the keyboard in the case, it's thicker.

No optical zoom though. The device doesn't realy lend itself to folded optics, or a lens in the side to give optical depth.

If you're desperate for a new toy though, there are several which *almost* fit the bill, but none are VGA.

I am personally waiting for the Athena, there's just nothing else out there that will be as good for WiFi web use with such a nice keyboard.
