Guest ingster Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Hey gusys i've been considering buying a mac but i've noticed that activesync will not go on a mac - quite a bummer seeing as i love my m3100 and i sync everyday my calendars, e-mails etc to it. After trawling through the t'interweb i've seen a programme called the missing sync here at http://www.markspace.com/ I was wondering has anyone used this before? And if so is it any good? It looks very handy litle app so fingers crossed!
Guest Sul... Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 I'm curious about this too if anyone knows
Guest robcoh Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Ive used two different mac sync programmes, Missing Sync and Pocketmac. Found a great deal of problems a while back when i was using Missing Sync (even more unreliable then active sync) so switched over to pocket mac which worked fantastically, unfortunately though they dont yet support WM5 which is a real pain. My work around was to install boot camp with XP and use active sync on that, not ideal but it works, but then I only sync to back up dont do it on a daily basis more like weekly if anything. In my opinion I would hold out and wait until pocketmac releases a compatable version. Hope it helps Rob

I actually prefer it to active sync in that you can actually 'use' files that are on the device, much like in WMDC on windows vista. Haven't used pocketmac but will give it a shot later. Phil
Guest kevinyfc Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 I also use the missing sync and despite a few problems when upgrading phone from an M2000, the process is really simple and trouble free. I regularly use it and think its possibly better than activesync. My advice is go for it!
