Guest uggit Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 After a lot of searching, hacking, and frustration I finally have MS VoiceCommand 1.6 working over BT on my Cingular 2125. I'm posting my results so that others may benefit. Some of the registry tricks may carry over to the PPC world, but I have not tried them on my PPC. InstallationVoiceCommand over BT works by default when you install to "main memory"If you install on storage card, you must use the following hack:copy vcbthag.dll file from \Storage Card\Program Files\Voice Command\ to the \windows directoryopen registry editor to: HKLM\software\microsoft\bluetooth\audiogateway\ - edit the key: BTAGExtModule - set the value to \windows\vcbthag.dllpower down your device and reboot Enable Voice Command to be activated while device locked:open registry editor to: HKLM\software\microsoft\voice commandedit the key: respectKeyLock set the value to: "0" to use VoiceCommand while phone is locked or "1" to NOT use VoiceCommand while phone is locked Activation button (HTC Tornado)Holding volume down button on phone will no longer activate old voice dialer (on Cingular 2125)Holding communication manager button (record button) will activate Voice Command Button defaults to record but can be changed in Voice Command configuration
Guest mcwarre Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Dunno if that is specific to Smartphone version or your phone.... It worked staightaway on my K-Jam when I went into settings then phone then notifications and changed the option to "announce notifications using Bluetooth hands free if available". Works a treat. I then press the send button on my bt headset and voice command activates on my headset.
Guest conan_troutman Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 I have tried editing some values but cant get the effect that I want Iwant VC to be louder and the only way I can do it is to turn off all other notifications dispite editing the registry in HKCU\Control Pannel\SoundCategories\VoiceCommand1 Then change the value of AttenuationCategory from 4 to 1 and adding the dword Speaker = 1 its still way too quiet when used in conjunction with other notifications such as ring tones and reminder sounds (edited to loop) the only one that is louder is anoounce messages even with the sms notification running i also slowed the speech down via thos edit [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Speech\Voices] "DefaultTTSRate" = "3" lower is slower and higher is faster hope some can help get this louder
