Hey all

I've got the chance to swap my sp3i for a XDA II (himalaya)

what im wondering is, would this be a worthwhile trade for me?

the main use of the sp3i is a 'home phone' in that i only use it to call out when im at home (it doesnt go out of the house!), reading ebooks (which is why im leaning towards a PPC -> bigger screen!) and occasionally watching the odd movie

whats the xda II like to use (i already have a XDA exec, which im going to sell soon, would like to know diff between wm2003/se and wm5)

any advice on this would be appreciated!

Personally I would do it. The Himalaya is one of the most flexible PPC Phones to date as it was the original reference model for WM5, so if you head over to www.xda-developers.com you can find out all sorts of info on it, how to upgrade the ROM to WM5, and end up with a great device. If you bung a WiFi card in it too, you have a nice little device to surf the web on too.

one of the biggest diff between wm5 and 2003 from a PPC POV is that WM5 will not loose your data if the battery runs out (persistant memory). There are more changes but that would be the clincher for me.
