Guest bizshows Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I have a new VarioII and cannot find a way to dial a dtmf pause or wait command. I have tried commas, as suggested elsewhere, and spaces either side of a w or p but nothing seems to work. I even tried creating a new contact on my SP5m (which has a menu option when entering a number to add a wait or pause - and which will dial them without a problem) then syncing the number across to my VarioII, but the VarioII dials the first part of the number and that's it - completely ignores the pause and the next dialling sequence. Here's another weird thing: if I highlight the contact (the one I synced from my SP5m) on the VarioII dialpad then press the hardware call button or tap the Talk button on screen, the VarioII doesn't even start to dial but up pops an error message like this: If I double tap on the contact it dials OK (albeit no further than the p). If I dial from contacts, again it will start to dial without the error. I also tried adding the number as a speed dial - again it starts to dial (no error) but just the first part up to the p. Anyone know of a way around this? Thanks in advance!
Guest yrreP Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Hmm, strange. A colleague says that he has sucessfully managed to succeed in doing this using something similar too - 9#0800800156#1#2 :)
Guest bizshows Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Tried this but doesn't work for me. I'm surprised that I can't find this issue raised elsewhere. This is a universal dialling function - and clearly implemented on the Smartphone OS. Why would it be ignored in PPC - and why does no-one else seem bothered!? Maybe I'm in the wrong forum area - admin?
