Guest nedge2k Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Modeo, so far the only company known to be sporting HTC's only DVB-H device (the Foreseer), have finally started their trials of the handset in the Big Apple (New York City). A few hundred lucky New York-ers now have the device but what happens after these trials is anyone's guess - so far, no deal has been signed with a carrier and at least two of the major US carriers have decided not to go down the DVB-H route for their television content, instead choosing MediaFLO (info). Now, correct me if I'm wrong but I assumed Digital Free-To-Air broadcasts were more of a European thing than a USA thing? What would have made more sense, in my mind, would have been someone like Orange UK releasing the device as their own in direct competition with Virgin's Lobster 700TV (a DAB-IP device). If you're one of the lucky New York-ers with a Foreseer in hand, let us know what you think of it! :) [Source]
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I like the Lobster but the Forseer was the device I really wanted with it's landscape display.

Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I think the landscape orientation is cool... and the device is very thin too! P
