Guest dhcp Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Hi All, I recently purchased an iMate SP5 and am very happy. I followed the instructions to change the right button softkey, so I wanted it to open my calendar - it does that now, but the text/word still says "Contacts". Using Resco Registry Editor: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\MSContacts (default) no value 0 Calendar 1 :MSPOutlook calendar 2 0x1(1) 3 0x0(0) 4 0004 00|00|00|00| .... 0008 The right softkey opens up Calendar, but the text on the home screen says "Calendar", what do I need to do to change it (and where!?! :) ). Also out of curiosity, what is the syntax to open up Windows Media Player instead of the Contacts or Calendar? Finally, I'm curious to see what other mp3 players people use - I like Winamp on the PC platform, and I also really like PocketMusic Player on the Pocket PC .... I'm stuck with Windows Media Player or TCMP on the smartphone .... Thanks very much!
Guest MikeSel Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) Sorry, cant help with the softkey, however I am interested in reading the answer. However, for Media Player can I suggest gsPlayer :) Edited January 6, 2007 by MikeSel
Guest dhcp Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Sure, I can understand how people may not want two buttons assigned to the same application (ie. Left hand side hardware button, and right Soft key both opening up Contacts) .... Also wondering how we can do a "Soft Reset"..... from experience, on my PDA there is a soft reset pin hole.... but i cant find anything on the SP5 ... is turning it off, then on again the same as a soft reset?
Guest MikeSel Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I have a very small\simple VB.net application for doing soft resets in my downloads section. http://mikesel.info/index.php?option=com_d...8&Itemid=28 It's in early BETA stages but basically you run it, and it prompts for confirmation then resets! If you download it you may also need the runtimes which are also in downloads section! Cheers!
