Windows Vista Compatibility

So....I've recently installed Microsoft Windows Vista and as expected I'm having problems with the MPx220 drivers.....active sync is in-existant (however, syncing the device is much easier).....What I did find to be a bit of pain is the fact that Windows Vista doesn't recognized the Smartfon driver - meaning that changing ROM is impossible (since it's not recognizing the drivers)!

Can someone please let me know what driver updates are available (even from Motorola)....and if it is possible to USE offline updater on this new windows version.

Best Regards,

Geoffrey

I've been able to do everything and anything to my MPx220 through Vista with very few problems.

One thing I did notice is that when connecting to do something, such as to flash the ROM, Vista has some issues not recognizing Smartfon as you described, as well as having trouble with the modem drivers. What I found is that if you simply disconnect and reconnect the phone, Vista eventully works things out and installs everything correctly.

But, you gotta admit, Windows Mobile Device Center is incredibly nice!! Giant leap in pleasure from ActiveSync.

Yeah....sure beats ActiveSync! In fact the problem with my MPx220 drivers (Smartfon) and Need for Speed Carbon where my only complaints so far!! :)

Thanks for your help but I tried connecting and re-connecting my device to the PC several times and nothing so far!! It still doesn't recognise it!! hmmmm weird!!
