Guest nedge2k Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 [teaser] It's life Jim but not as we know it...or in this case, it's the i760 but not as we know it! :) Remember the Samsung i760? Well, those lucky guys over at Engadget have scored a hands-on preview of it at CES in Las Vegas. One thing though, it's undergone somewhat of a design overhaul and now I want it even more than before! :D Specs and pics after the jump...[/teaser]WM5 for Pocket PCIntel 520Mhz CPU2MP CameraForward facing video calling camera3G/HSDPA (Triband)802.11g Wi-FimicroSD (shame it's not miniSD!)2.8" QVGA touch screenBluetooth 2.0Qwerty slide-out keypad1040mAh battery119g (lighter than a Vario!)Click on the images below for larger versions... Guest richard_d Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 (edited) Edit: There's no need to quote the whole article... Looks pretty good to me... Edited January 8, 2007 by nedge2k
Guest Confucious Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Pity only QVGA (I'm old, my eyesite has gone which is why I love my Universal's screen). How about Headphone connecter? Is it a std 3.5mm plug (My other gripe with the Vario II) Looks good tho, woneder if T-mob will take it on.
Guest HerpezP Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Guys, I'm pretty sure this is EV-DO/CDMA (look at the tags on Engadget). I think this is the US version of the i760 - kind of like Blackjack and i600.
Guest nedge2k Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 hmm...you may have a point there. although I doubt they'd re-design the look of the whole thing just becuase it's the CDMA ver. Watch this space I guess...
Guest roma0803 Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Nice, but a 1040mAh battery? What does that give you with a CPU like that? 12 hours of stand by time? I have no experience with PPC, but my 200Mhz Smartphone has more mAh and I still could use some more...
Guest The apprentice Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Guys, I'm pretty sure this is EV-DO/CDMA (look at the tags on Engadget). I think this is the US version of the i760 - kind of like Blackjack and i600. I agree with you. The review I got from PDA.NET shows an entirely different H/W configuration, although the specs are very similar. Any idea when will it launch in Europe? :)
