Guest Griff_FFOC Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Has anyone successfully managed to get activesync working wth Outlook 2007? I upgraded Office to 2007, and now if I create a new contact/appointment or modify an existing one, the activesync icon spins, but nothing changes on the phone. I deleted the partnership and recreated it, but all it did after syncing was to create lots of blank contacts in my contacts folder in Outlook. I've even tried updating my activesync to 4.5 beta and I have the same problems. I have read about people having problems with notes not syncing in contacts, but I can't seem to get anything to work properly.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 I have it working fine, I have since upgraded to Vista as so do not use Activesync anymore. I've never used Notes though so can not say about that.
Guest p2daz Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) I have the same setup with no problems (now I've dumped Vista) so i expect you may have a problem with the installation. Have you tried to 'repair' outlook? Edited January 9, 2007 by p2daz
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 I'm using Windows XP Pro, Outlook 2007, Activesync 4.5beta, and a C600 with the latest ROM. I have a number of outlook profiles setup, so I set Outlook to load straight into a profile instead of prompting, I also had a few sub folders in my contacts so I removed all of those too. I removed the partnership, deleted my contacts from Outlook, ran the "diagnostics" under the help menu in Outlook, also ran the Repair option in the Add/Remove programs for Outlook, removed and re-installed ActiveSync and recreated the partnership, syncing just contacts. Activesync finds the 87 contacts on my C600, claims to sync them over, but all I end up with is this, 87 blank contacts;
