Guest Stuartn Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 (edited) Hi there im trying to add a new alarm tone to my Orange SPV M3100 but i am unable to find where to add it. I have found the other alarm tones, But they are all Write protected and read only, So i can even rename the tone i want and just paste it over the top. ok i have now found where it should go, But when ever i select it form the Alarm list it always goes back to Defualt Sound. So i guess i need to get some kind of crack to be able to add it, but i really not sure. If any1 has managed it please advise. All the best Stuart Edited January 10, 2007 by Stuartn
Guest Elwyn 3100 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 From what I've worked out it needs to be a .wav (wave) file and in your \windows\ directory on your device :) Alas MP3s don't work. Unless you have some program that can handle them... Cheers :D

Stuart Dude, I have an m3100. I use "Bug Me!" to record a voice note to tell me to wake up and then set that to remind me every morning at 7. Works a treat and can be as loud as you want. I presume that other note-taking progs work in the same way.
Guest Trancemaster Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Another thing you could do - PocketMusic can be set to start playing at a certain time. find a song that you really hate (Crazy Frog or something), then set PocketMusic to wake you up by playing it really loudly. Make sure you put your phone on the otherside of the room though so you actually have to get up to turn it off, not just hit it very hard and go back to sleep!
Guest pete1909 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 We've just upgraded from C600 to M3100 at work. Been plying around trying to get the alarm sorted. Any sounds do need to be a WAV file and stored in Windows on the device. On my device I can't access this via active sync (not sure if work have hidden the file :) Long winded but worked for me.
