Guest CitizenEM Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Have you all heard about what Emoze has been doing? These guys have a load of guts! Emoze is ready for a "showdown" and have invited Blackberry to join them at the 3GSM show in Barcelona. This should be a load of fun! Emoze has a push-email mobile solution which is free and downloadable off their site. It works great and pushes not only emails, but also your contacts, calendar and all other personal information including subfolders. What I like about emoze, is that it is extremely secure and works off an amazing number of mobile handsets. The Showdown Starts Here 3GSMSHOWDOWN!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 emoze requires your desktop PC to be on all the time right? P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Anyone else think 'CitizenEM' works for emoze? P
Guest emyllis Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Is emoze actually any good?!?! Has anyone actually used it? It looks good on paper but i'm not sure that if it's any good. It's a pain if your computer has to be kept on?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Not sure I see the point of an emoze vs blackberry 'showdown'? It's apples vs oranges IMHO. P
Guest CitizenEM Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Let's Compare Blackberry to Emoze: Blackberry: -HIGH $$$ per Month -Limited Devices Emoze: -Free Application -Available on Hundreds of devices -No Store & Forward - Your doesn't flow through our servers at any time. -Outlook & Lotus Notes support As far as your computer being on. emoze's next update will eliminate this issue so keep watching :) Cast Your Votes ladies and Gents.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 When that issue's eliminated, then I think a lot more people will be interested. So how exactly is the bizarre marketing stunt supposed to work? I'm interested because it sounds ridiculous and pointless, and like corporate spam on MoDaCo masquerading as a third party... P

P I can understand you not liking the way this was posted but Emoze does actually work pretty well and it's a god-send for anyone (like me) who works in a company where the email server is behind a vpn and IT thinks mobile access means Blackberry, Blackberry or Blackberry.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I recently received the press release about the 'showdown'. To test emoze against Blackberry, they SENT an email from each device to a GMail account. Now, surely it would be better to demo which device RECEIVED mail first? Strange. P
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Depends what you mean by BETTER. Maybe they tried that first and it didn't work out so well...
Guest emozeoren Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Depends what you mean by BETTER. Maybe they tried that first and it didn't work out so well... We could have gone back and forth with it all day, It's Push technology, Sending and Receiving times are identical.
