My SP3i has inaudible ring, tried every profile to get a ring but no success

I just bought a used SP3i, everything is working fince accept, I do not hear a ring or keypad tones. I can change profile but no success.

Moreover, when I use the volume control on the left, it displays and operates 'earpiece volume'.

What is more confusing is that I am able to use the phone for calls, ie, I hear the other user without a headset.

Can anyone help me out?
