Lost this years SMS messages :(

Hi there

Last week I noticed, to my horror, that all my SMS messages from this year are gone. Both my inbox and sent items folder contains messages up to 31. Des. 2006 :)

Has anyone else experienced this? My Qtek 8310 has been nagging me for ages about insufficient available space, but I still have some spare room on the device. I've both sent and received plenty of messages yesterday, which are still on the phone.

I'm wondering if it's possible to copy all my messages to the PC for backup then delete all of them on my phone. What would be the best solution for this? I would like to be able to read my old messages on the PC so I'm in the need of a program instead of simply backing up the files from the device.

I've read a bit on Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook on the internet and found that when importing SMS messages to outlook the dates get screwed up. It aparently uses the date when you import the messages from your phone rather than when you originaly received them.

This is a big concern for me as I have thousands of SMS messages on my phone and loosing the received/sent dates would make a big cluttered mess on the archive :D

I also found this thread: what software to back up SMS, for WM5, which reports similar problems. The date of the last thread was 20. June 2006 and as far as I can tell from Jeyo's website, the last update was made on 26. April 2005.

My conclusion would be that I'd rather not spend money on a product that seems to be pretty much dead and still has these problems, but I'd like to thank you for pointing this program out to me none the less :)

Check the cemail.vol file is available or not, if you have thousand sms, it should be big like 1 or 2M. Other wise it was corrupted, and the system create a new one. Also try to run SMS Exporter, one of my friend export 2K SMS into storage card by this program.
