Can't send using Push?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I have been using a mail2web push account intermitantly over the past few months which worked perfectly but didn't give me an alias. I have just tried to setup a free account from port88.org and now, although the device syncs perfectly I can't send from my device. I am using it over TMob 3G with London openDNS servers and when I send the sent item shows up in the sent folder of Outlook Web Access (OWA) but never arrives at its destination. When I send via the OWA interface it works perfectly. I have set the account up but I haven't added SSL yet, could that be the problem? Or something hanging over from Mail2Web? I deleted the Mail2Web account from Activstink to set it up, is this the only place that I need to change a setting? Seems odd that it shows up in OWA but never 'sends'.

EDIT - Well, I have discovered it is now working. I tried sending to several of my other email accounts and they all worked fine. It didn't work sending to my work email. In fact I couldn't even forward something from the sent folder in OWA to my work email. I can only imagine that my work spam filter is killing it. Anyone any ideas why this would happen? I guess the email is tagged with a different IP/originating network (TMob) than where it is being received from (Port88) so would this trigger a spam kill?
