Phonepad and the Trinity

Please help me get phonepad working on my trinity,,,I've tried so many different cabs and variations, including a sipchange cab and internaion versions of phonepad, russian, English, French, etc... If you have a trinity, and got this to work, please tell me how you did it...thanks.

I tried everything and couldn't install it - ended up putting the latest dopod ROM on that includes PhonePad.

Yep - working great ;)

The camera app also includes a geo-tagging mode that i don't think was present on my Orange ROM.

Can someone explain where you get the Dopod ROM from and where there are instructions to install it? Also, is it possible to dump out my current Orange ROM should I want to go back?

It's all pretty much explained in the xda-developers thread i linked to above but here is the exec-sum of what you need to do:

1. Back up you contacts etc

2. Either run pof's CID and SIM unlocking utility or use des's bootloader

3. Download and install the dopod rom or lvws' rom

4. Set up your data connections

You should be able to dump your current ROM but i've never done that so can't really comment. Searching xda-dev is probably your best bet. Orange France have released a ROM that you would be able to flash using des' bootloader but Orange UK have not yet released a flashable ROM update.

Before you flash your device you could mount and back up the extended ROM - this should include the cab that installs the settings for your Orange data connection.
