Guest izzyK Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I've just a bought a Vario 2, and after a couple of smartphones, it's my first Pocket PC. My main problem at the moment is that I have a work machine on which I am connected to an exchange server and I have a home PC with personal email, contacts etc... I would like to not mix them too much. Ideally, I would like to have 2 contact lists on the Vario each one synch'ing seperately with it's respective PC. If that's impossible I'm quite happy to have one-way copying of contacts from PC to vario so that I end up with both sets of contacts on the Vario, but not copying work contacts onto home PC and vice-versa. I don't mind not being able to copy changes made to the Vario back onto the PCs. Does anyone know if anything like this might be possible? Izzy PS at least my favourite app, city alarms works well on this phone. :)
Guest Happy Dave Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 (edited) I've the same setup but what you want to do I don't think is possible, with ActiveSync you used to be able to select Categories to sync on each machine but I don't think you can anymore. I think you'll have to sync the lot and then restrict what you see on each machine using the Category view in Outlook Edited January 17, 2007 by Happy Dave
Guest James Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I am also the same, it would be great to be able to make a destinction between 'home contacts' and 'work contacts', i have never looked into the Category options in outlook recently so maybe its time for another look... i will let you know if i figure anything out! :)
