Guest The Doctor Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 except htc herms..i want to buy a pocket pc which has... 2mp or more flash camera.. is more than 200mhz good amount of ram windows mobile 5 and has a keyboard Erm, the HTC Hermes is pretty much your only option here... Any reason why NOT the Hermes? Its a great device Phil
Guest mini_man Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) Nope, theres currently nothing apart from the O2 XDA Stealth (416MHz) or the Asus P525 (416 MHz) but I dont think thats the keyboard you ment, btw the O2 XDA Stealth is a rebrand of the G-smart . Although in the future we will see the O2 XDA Zinc (520 MHz) and the HTC Athena (624 MHz) Hope this is useful Sam Edited January 24, 2007 by mini_man
Guest The Doctor Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 First two, don't have keyboards as such :D Second two, aren't out yet :D The XDA stealth will probably only be out on O2 Business tariffs ala XDA IQ, or second hand on ebay. Plus it has no predictive text if its a g-smart rebrand :D Phil BTW, the Athena is HUGE :)
Guest mini_man Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Thanks for repeating EXACTLY what i just sed the doctor :) but I dont think thats the keyboard you mentFirst two, don't have keyboards as such Although in the future we will see theSecond two, aren't out yet Although the gsmart had no predictive text it actually had a built in tv tuner yummy :D Sam
Guest The Doctor Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Thanks for repeating EXACTLY what i just sed the doctor :) My bad... :D Phil
Guest mini_man Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 dont worry you must have been influenced by your crappy mac :)! Sam
Guest The Doctor Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 dont worry you must have been influenced by your crappy mac :D! Sam Oi! Back on topic.... :) If you want a qwerty pocket pc thats out atm then the htc hermes is pretty much the only option. Just a question of whether you can wait for the XDA Zinc or not :D Phil
Guest mini_man Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 true phil true. Although the HTC Athena is huge, its size is worth its spec by god it is! http://www.modaco.com/HTC-Athena-X7500-t250753.html
Guest The Doctor Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 true phil true. Although the HTC Athena is huge, its size is worth its spec by god it is! http://www.modaco.com/HTC-Athena-X7500-t250753.html TBH id rather have a few memory cards and a BT GPS unit than holding a paving slab to my head everytime i make a phone call :) The XDA zinc is effectively a hermes without HSDPA and only Single Band UMTS but has GPS i think. Phil
Guest mini_man Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 The XDA zinc is effectively a hermes without HSDPA and only Single Band UMTS but has GPS i think. Phil So will most likely be cheaper then, and looking at specs is also 4mm shorter lmao! Sam
Guest The Doctor Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 So will most likely be cheaper then, and looking at specs is also 4mm shorter lmao! Sam A 520Mhz will drain the battery tho... its bad enough on the Hermes and it's 400Mhz Samsung, gets so bad sometimes that i need to turn 3G off :) Phil
Guest mini_man Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Lol, and push mail and wifi and bluetooth for you :D However you can also underclock to preserve battery Removable and chargeable Lithium ion polymer battery, 2100mAh Also phil, i think the 2100mah battery will suffice :D :D :) Sam
Guest The Doctor Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 i think the 2100mah battery will suffice :D :D :D There's me thinking they used the same battery :) Phil
Guest bennish Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Are we forgetting the Treo 750 here? Or have I missed one of the desired specs? (apart of course from 1.3mp cam) The 750 is the best i've owned. Fast, small, responsive, good keyboard, looks dang nice (except i wish it was black)
Guest mini_man Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Yeh we were only listing 2.0 megapixels and above so the Treo doesnt qualify. Sam
Guest mini_man Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 There's me thinking they used the same battery Phil Genious lol :) Standard battery, Li-Ion 1350 mAh isnt really the same as Removable and chargeable Lithium ion polymer battery, 2100mAh Sam
Guest Webreaper Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 The XDA zinc is effectively a hermes without HSDPA and only Single Band UMTS but has GPS i think. Can't see any mention of GPS. http://www.seeo2.com/product/XdaZinc/template/Product.vm
