Cingular 3125 - MSOffice Task details problem?

Running into a bit of a problem here, getting really frustrating...

A few weeks ago I was running Office 2007 Beta, and Activesync 4.2 would sync my Office Tasks, along with the Task Notes, to my WM5 phone (task Subject is "Shopping List," and task Notes are "Milk, Eggs, Beer, etc."

After a system reformat, I'm now running Office 2003, with Activesync 4.5 beta, which I assume is a much more common configuration. However, now, only the Subject line of the task will sync to the phone. From the MSTasks application, when I click on the task to be done, the detailed notes section for each task is empty.

Anyone else experiencing this or know why it's happening? The tasks are useless to me without the details (it's where I throw driving directions, etc.).

Having the same problem this end. Tasks details are not coming across on iMate SP5 (Windows Mobile 5).

Running Office 2003 on my PC with ActiveSync 4.5 Beta.

Strangely, my iMate SP3i (Windows Mobile 2003SE) will bring across task details from the same PC.

Anyone know what we're doing wrong?

I found other people experiencing the same thing on another forum, one of whom said they fixed it by reinstalling ActiveSync.

I reinstalled 4.5b2, to no avail. But then I uninstalled it, and installed ActiveSync 4.2, and lo and behold, Task details now sync!

In my situation, I believe this is what's going on: 4.2 as a stable release works with Office 2003. 4.5b2, for whatever reason, works with Office 2007 Beta (maybe they're meant for each other), which is what I was running before, but has problems with regular Office 2003.

Try rolling back to ActiveSync 4.2 and see if that helps.

ActiveSync 4.2 did the trick! Now I have task details showing :)
