Guest gingerprince Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I have a couple of oddities with my keypad, which I think are related. 1. When I'm in a call to for example T-Mobile voicemail, or any automated menu system that asks you to "press 1 for customer service" etc, they never respond to the presses. I get the tones, they just get ignored. 2. My keypad seems to be a strange 3d blue effect, i.e. fancier than the default on the Vario II. I noticed it change a while ago, but I don't know what caused the change, e.g. what software or setting might have altered it from the default. So, does anyone know what might have changed my keypad, and does anyone else experience the ignored numbers feature that I have (regardless of what keypad you have?) TIA Sy
Guest Dr Who Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Have you been messing with the ExtROM or preventing it from loading on hard reset? I believe that these problems can be cured by rerunning the TMob customisation.
Guest gingerprince Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Have you been messing with the ExtROM or preventing it from loading on hard reset? I believe that these problems can be cured by rerunning the TMob customisation. Don't recall messing with the ROM,unless it just didn't fully run for some reason? Anyhow you are correct, I've rerun the autorun on the ExtROM and it's fixed it. Curious where the keypad came from though, it did look nice :) Thanks Sy
Guest mandt Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 The keypad you had is the default WM5 one, to get it back you need to edit the registry to disable the T-Mobile skinning navigate to: HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled change the valut to 0 and Soft reset Be aware thet the default dialpad doesn't support smart dialling
