What exactly are you talking about, twisting the phone? Is this a joke to break the thing off it's hinges?

Which problem are you trying to solve exactly other than obvious 1.2 MP quality issues which we all know about?

Is the "twist method" meant to be a joke to express frustration with the cameras shortcomings?

OK..enough questions...there are not any answers in this thread.

EXPLAIN please.

I have an mpx220 with a camera that intermittently doesn't work. Twisting the upper housing as shown above gets the camera working again when it acts up.

I acquired another upper housing/lcd/flex cable assembly and installed it. Unfortunetly, this one is from the same manufacturing batch as my original one and acts up in the same way.

Further investigation reveals that the circuit board which connects the flex cable to the camera appears to have an intermittent connection somewhere inside the board. Flexing the board one way will get the camera talking to the main board again. Flexing it another way will stop all communication between the two items.

Thank you for the insight and understanding of the matter. My camera didn't have any problems so I was curious to what everyone was talking about.

This makes sense with the flex ribbon not communicating and a little ingenuity to work around with a slight twist. I tried it and thought I would break my camera..LOL.

Thanks..I'll use this method if I need to..until then. so far so good.
