Will the Qtek 8310 headset work with SPV C500?

I have just broken my second C500 headset and have to buy a new one. The original C500 isn't in stock at the cheapest shop, but the original Qtek 8310 is in stock, so I thought about buying that one instead.

However, I know a 2.5 mm jack isn't always the same (though it probably should be if it's from the same manufacturer (HTC)). So, my question is if anyone knows for sure whether the 8310 headset will work in the C500 (both the microphone and music in both left and right channel) - someone in here must have both phone lying around :)

Edit: I took the chance and bought the 8310 headset and it works fine :D
