VPN Issues

I've FINALLY got my jasjar (HTC universal) to connect via GPRS to my windows XP machine running VPN incoming connection. I can ping the jasjar from xp and I can ping the xp machine and adsl router(Dlink g604t) from the jasjar. I can also use Remoteamp (tcp/ip winamp remote control) over the VPN.

In esscence i can connect and data flows though the VPN tunnel.

I can't however browse my network fileshares (using resco file explorer). I can't find any information on this, except big business solutions (WINS servers etc).

Is it possible without buying extra network stuff to browse my shares?
