Saving Rom image on SD card from phone

Is there any way to create rom image on sd card ???

i would like to save all my settings , programs, registry and whole rom on sd card, and then restore it on another phone same brand same model

because any of backup programs doesnt work, like they suppoused to ,

Please help

You can by doing the following:

  • Download mtty 1.42 / teratermpro from somewhere
  • Disabling USB connections in activesync
  • Connecting your phone to the USB in bootloader (turn off, hold camera, plug into usb)
  • Open mtty1.42 /teratermpro and select USB from the port option (don't touch anything else) and press ok
  • Type the following commant into the box and press enter afterwards:

r2sd all

It WILL erase all data you have on your card though....

you must type this as it wont work if you cut and paste it etc.

I tried that I made a backup

but when I try to restore it

it downloaded the rom, then did hard reset, and I dont have any of my programs or settings restored

how to do that to have full backup restoret with all setings ?????

I forgot to add

there is no option to press voulme down button, only volume up button works to download data

I'm using imate sp5

It IS volume down you have to press, the SPL is incorrectly scaled for the screen so it looks like you have to press volume up :)

The r2sd all command dumps your ENTIRE ROM to a card, settings, bootloader, radio etc

thank you for helping me

but still

after download is completed i restarted the phone and it went to cold boot config and did hard reset sa all my settings are gone , is there any way to skip that hard reset after restore rom???

Not a clue :) From my experience i still had all my settings etc (i had a Qtek 8310 with SP5 AKU2 ROM)

i did backup rom on tmobile sda wiht sp5m rom and tried to resotre it on qtek8310 but I dont think thats the problem

when I press vol down nothing happens only vol up give me download options

I have so many things on my old sda that I dont want to reinstall everything again on qtek:(

But thank you anyway:D

hmm thats odd, on my SP5 it was vol down...
