Guest judin Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 Hi there. I had my SPV next to a Nokia 7650 (with the Nokia's Bluetooth switched on), and my fun suddenly threw up the "SIM Password" screen (despite my phone having worked fine for the last three days without being switched off). Anyway, I typed in my password, and it said it was incorrect. It said try again after 30 seconds, so I did, and again it would not accept this. So, I switched off the phone and on again, and the same problem occured. I was getting a bit concerned, so switched it off again. By that time, we'd switched off the Nokia's bluetooth, and my SPV then booted successfully. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Regards Justin
Guest Firaas Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 That's interesting - shouldn't the phone legally withstand radio frequencies?
Guest judin Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 I'm about 100% sure that the Nokia with Bluetooth was the problem, as I've never had this error before. And just in case anyone wonders, it definitely wasn't infrared interference, as the Nokia's and mine was switched off.
Guest casper508 Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 I've had my SPV next to a 7650 (bluetooth switched on), and didnt have any problem. Infact i've had it next to a T68i with bluetooth switched on as well. No problems there either. Has anyone else experienced this? Cas
Guest AsherUK Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 It may just be an SPV problem and not related to being near the Nokia at all. The SPV is known to sometimes do strange things when just left for a while, I think there was another post somewhere that mentioned the password screen coming up. The signals coming from the Nokia or the SPV shouldn't affect each other, although it is always best not to keep two mobiles very close to each other when on. (ie. in the same pocket).
