Guest bsketball Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 OK, I am somewhat of a newb when it comes to computers, so sorry in advance for any stupid mistakes. Here is my problem: When I download the freeware software, it shows up as a zipped .cab file. However, when I try to unzip it, it scatters into many different files. I want to figure out how to keep the .cab file intact when I download it, so that I can install it on my T-Mobile dash. For example, I want to download the freeware stopwatch software for my smartphone (the RJV Clock 1.0) When I click to download, the title is "RJV Clock SP2003.CAB" and it says that it is a WinZip file. However, when I try to extract it, it scatters into 43 different files such as "00000lap.036" and "PVBhost2.041" I want to keep the file intact so that I can put it on my phone, but I don't know how to :) Can someone please help me? I would really appreciate it.
Guest georgedorn Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 a cab file is not a zip file even when Windows believes that :-) Don' t extract or open the cab file. Just save it to your desktop and copy it as it is to the smartphone and run it on the smartphone
